It's that time of year again when the sun comes out to play and so do the people of WA! The Propel Youth Arts WA e-zine is the perfect place to catch up on all the latest arts news, information and events happening near you!

The Propel office has been buzzing with JUMP applications flooding in and the Steampunk Sideshow workshops are up and running!

Make sure you catch JUMP artists from 2011 performing live at the Ellington Jazz Club and head to Fremantle to hear some free tunes from local artists for Mental Health Week!

There are also heaps of volunteer and paid employment opportunities for all types of artists from fashion designers and film makers to environmentalists and arts curators!

twentyten+1 Steampunk Sideshow Workshops Go off With a Bang!

What do you get when you put a group of artists in a warehouse with quirky found objects, tools, paints and costumes? The Steampunk Sideshow Workshops!

Over a whirlwind four days, a group of talented artists begun to create a Tim Burton-esque set, along with twisted characters and a thrilling storyline to match! Check out the photos here.

Over the next five Sundays, the group will continue to perfect the set design and practice their performance, which will be showcased at the Beaufort St Festival in November.
